Jerry Stiller passes away from natural causes, age 92

The comedian and actor Jerry Stiller has passed away at age 92 overnight of natural causes.

His son, actor Ben Stiller, made the announcement on Twitter last night, however didn’t go into details of the cause.

Jerry was well known for a lengthy comedic career, beginning in the ’60s alongside wife Anne Meara.


He’s also remembered for his return to the TV screen in the ’90s on the much-loved sitcom ‘Seinfeld’, where he played Frank Costanza, father of George.

And after that, he played a similar ‘angry dad’ role on ‘The King of Queens’.

Jerry’s wife Anne Meara passed away in 2015 at 85 years old.

Son Ben posted to Twitter announcing Jerry’s passing.

“I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes.

“He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years.

“He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad,” Ben’s post reads.
