Jessica Marais’ reign as television queen continues when her new show premieres on Channel Ten at the end of this month.
The bubbly blonde will be returning to the small screen to lead an all star cast in the brand new contemporary drama series, The Wrong Girl.
Based on the best-selling novel by Zoë Foster Blake, Jessica stars as Lily Woodward, the producer of a cooking segment on a morning television show who finds herself torn between two very different men.

Chatting to 1029 Hot Tomato’s Flan & Emily Jade this morning, Jessica said while Lily’s love life isn’t going well, she also runs into some roadblocks at work. “I think the comedy and drama of morning television is that it is live. It’s such a temperamental commodity to work with because you are seconds away from disaster all the time,” she said.
The Wrong Girl was also Jessica’s first foray into producing, with the talented actress signing on as a co-producer. “It was a learning experience for me,” she said. “I wanted to learn about the pre-production – like what goes into making a show – and I wanted to give some creative input into what I thought Lily should be and some of the storylines.”
