Jessica Mauboy to represent Australia at Eurovision 2018!
Pop superstar Jessica Mauboy has been announced as Australia’s representative for Eurovision 2018.
The popular song contest, which will be broadcast on SBS from May 9 to 13 next year, will be held in Lisbon, Portugal.
It will not be the first time Mauboy has performed on a Eurovision stage, in 2014 she was invited to Denmark to perform during the music competition’s interval.
The 28-year-old said she was so excited and honoured to be representing her country at a competitive level.
“I HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS!!! In 2018, I will be representing Australia at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest!!” Mauboy tweeted.
“I will sing my heart out for Australia, I’m so proud to be officially representing my country and a little bit nervous — mainly about the dress!”

It will be the fourth year Australia has competed in Eurovision.
Last year Dami Im fell just short of winning the Song Contest, coming in a close second.
