Jetstar flight bound for Bali forced to make emergency landing

A Jetstar flight bound for Bali has been forced to make an emergency landing after a crack started to appear in the cockpit windshield.

The plane took off from Sydney International Airport at 5.00pm on Wednesday and was about three hours into the trip when the incident occurred.

It’s understood pilots spotted the crack whilst they were flying over the Northern Territory.

The packed plane then turned around and made a diversion to Melbourne Airport as a safety precaution.

It’s now undergoing repairs at the airport, while the passengers have been placed on alternative flights.
