Jewel confirms sponsorship deal with Northcliffe

THE news we have been waiting for – the developers of Jewel have confirmed they have teamed up with BMD Northcliffe Surf Lifesaving Club to mark the start of a new ear for luxury living on the Gold Coast.

Jewel developers Wanda Ridong have announced a $45,000, three-year sponsorship to support Northcliffe volunteers in their efforts to keep Gold Coast beaches safe, and the club’s dedication to developing the next generation of lifesavers through its vital Nippers program.

The iconic red and yellow flags will go up on the Coast this Saturday, marking the start of a new patrol season – on the same day as the hotly-anticipated pre-sales release of Jewel luxury apartments.

Jewel Sales and Marketing Director Andrew Bampton said the sponsorship was a natural fit for a development which is so focused on the Gold Coast’s world-famous sun and sand lifestyle.

“Jewel is the first absolute beachfront development on the Gold Coast in 30 years, and we are creating an environment where luxury living will step out directly on to the beach.

“Without the efforts of our volunteer lifesavers and the clubs that support them, our beaches would be far less safe and far less attractive for residents or visitors.

“So Jewel is very proud to be supporting the people who make our beaches a world-class destination.”

BMD Northcliffe Surf Club President David Shields said the genuine sponsorship commitment would facilitate an everlasting friendship between the club’s members and the Wanda Ridong Jewel brand.

“Together with our council lifeguards, we provide and maintain a valued beach patrol service all year round and our surf club is naturally very closely engaged with the local community, so we greatly appreciate such a generous offer of support,” Mr Shields said.

Northcliffe members devote countless hours each year to fundraising, however such a substantial contribution means the club will have enough funds to purchase, and maintain, vital beach patrol equipment.

“It’s fantastic to have such a local project like Jewel – a true local business in the making – recognise our club and its members as a charitable volunteer group that ultimately will offer safe beach and surf activities for their patrons,” he said.

The first tranche of pre-sales for Jewel Apartments will be made available on Saturday to buyers who have previously expressed interest. The pre-sales launch will take place simultaneously at a number of sites around Australia and around the world.

Mr Bampton said early buyers in Jewel would secure a prized piece of real estate, and would create a legacy for their families lasting for generations.

“Jewel will be Australia’s largest mixed-use development.  Its scale and luxury will be unique not only to Gold Coast, but to the whole country, and it will be backed by a lifetime commitment from the world’s largest commercial real estate company,” Mr Bampton said.

“Jewel’s unique and inspiring architecture and luxurious appointments have already captured the imagination of buyers.  This weekend will be the first opportunity for a lucky few to grab their slice of paradise.”
