QUEENSLAND boy Julian Wilson has won the Pipeline Masters and Surfing’s Triple crown after beating new world champion Gabriel Medina in a nail biting final over the weekend.
The 26-year-old from Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast fought hard on the waves in Hawaii on Saturday defeating Brazils Gabriel Medina on the final wave.
In a nail biting finish Wilson secured the crown with a total score of 19.63, with Medina finishing on 19.20.

The emotion on the talented surfers face said it all as he dropped to his knees the moment he stepped out from the water.
Although being defeated by Wilson, Medina had already clinched the nations first men’s world surfing title.
