UPDATE | Boy dragged from surf at Tallebudgera

UPDATE 1:08PM | There has been another close call in the water on the Gold Coast.

A 30 year old was caught in a rip while swimming outside the flags at Surfers Paradise beach at around 12:30PM.

He was brought back to shore by Lifesavers.

EARLIER 12:18PM | A boy has had to be rescued from the surf at Tallebudgera, after getting caught in a rip.

The seven year old was carried out at around 11:35AM.  Lifesavers rescued the boy and brought him back to shore.

He was okay and didn’t need any medical treatment.

Earlier in Far North Queensland, three swimmers had to be helped back to shore by Lifesavers.

The trio got into strife at Palm Cove, about 27km north of Cairns on Monday.

They were rescued using an inflatable rescue boat.
