Former world No.1 and Queenslander Jason Day finished in a tie for fifth after posting a five-under-par 67 thanks to six birdies.

Cameron Smith was the next best Australia, two shots further back.

Scott’s second placing was his best result on the PGA Tour since winning the WGC-Cadillac Championship in early 2016.

He’s now the first Australian to surpass $50 million in career prize money on the PGA Tour as he collected $US766, 800.

The victory for Rose is now his 10th on the PGA Tour.
