The people have spoken and all agree that a resort pool right here on the Gold Coast is the best in the country.
The JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa has taken out this year’s “Best Hotel Pool” award in the annual Uniquely Aussie Awards.
The awards, conducted by travel giant Wotif, aim to encourage Aussies to explore their own backyard and support their favourite businesses.

“With national travel restrictions beginning to ease in November after almost two years of uncertainty, it’s more important than ever for Aussies to support our world-renowned tourism and hospitality industries,” Wotif Managing Director Daniel Finch said.
It’s no surprise why the JW Marroitt pool was voted the best in Australia, with guests able to swim with hundreds of tropical fish.
“The magical lagoon at this Gold Coast resort is anything but your average hotel swimming pool,” Mr Finch said.
“Whether it’s snorkeling with tropical fish, gliding down the waterslide or cocktails in your cabana, everyone’s a winner here,” he added.
The awards also rank Australia’s best hot chips, vanilla slice, jaffle, country pub and national park, with Stairwell Coffee in Surfers Paradise voted the “best jaffle” in the sunshine state.
