Police are preparing to speak to the man accused of murdering Gold Coast mother of three, Kelly Wilkinson.
The 27-year-old’s body was found in the backyard of her Arundel home last week, with a post-mortem later confirming she died from horrific burn injuries.
Her estranged partner, 34-year-old Brian Johnston was found in a semi-conscious state just two blocks away and has been in a coma in hospital ever since.

He’s since been charged with one count of murder and one of breaching a domestic violence order, but it’s understood he was already before the court on unrelated charges as well.
Newscorp is reporting that Mr Johnston has finally woken from his coma this morning, and will likely be questioned by police later today.
It comes as the Gold Coast community rallies to build Ms Wilkinson’s family a new home.
Her three children, who were home at the time of the tragic incident, are currently in the care of her sister, who has five children herself.
