Byron Bay Bluesfest have today revealed a litany of strong female artists are set to perform at next year’s event.
Kesha, Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge will hit the stage at the festival over the Easter long weekend, joining Lionel Richie, Robert Plant, John Butler Trio and Seal to name a few.
As one of the 2017’s most talked about artists, Kesha, is a surprising addition to the lineup and one organisers believe is a major coup for the event.

In the third artist announcement released today, Bluesfest said they are “proud to have Kesha play the festival at such a momentous time in her career.”
Her latest album ‘Rainbow’ has been called “an artistic feat” by Entertainment Weekly and “the best music of her career” by Rolling Stone.
Sheryl Crow will also be heading down under for next year’s event, and will no doubt put a lot of smiles on faces when she performs smash hits like ‘All I Wanna Do”, “Strong Enough’, ‘If It Makes You Happy’ and ‘Everyday Is A Winding Road’.
Academy Award and Grammy winning artist Melissa Etheridge is another powerful female singer/songwriter set to take the stage next year to perform some of her greatest hits like ‘Come to My Window’, ‘I’m The Only One’, ‘Bring Me Some Water’, ‘Like the Way I Do’ and ‘I Want To Come Over’.
Other artists revealed in the third announcement today include Juanes, Seu Jorge, Ziggy Alberts and Newton Faulkner to name a few.
