Kesha takes producer to court over sexual abuse claims

POP star Kesha is taking her producer to court, claiming he sexually and emotionally abused her for nearly a decade.

The hit-making producer, known as Dr Luke, says the allegations are extortion.

The lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles alleges he drugged and raped Kesha, and emotionally abused her until she had to enter rehab for an eating disorder earlier this year.

Dr Luke filed a lawsuit in New York claiming the allegations are defamatory and are all in a bid to get him to give her a better record deal.

The singer’s lawsuit claims the producer, whose real name is Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald, has control over her career.

They’ve been working together since Kesha was 18-year-old.

It seeks to invalidate their recording agreements.
