Queensland Rugby League have confirmed Kevin Walters will take the reigns at the Maroons next year.
QRL Chairman Peter Betros announced on Monday that Walters will take over as Queensland Origin coach next year following Mal Meninga’s decision to take over as Kangaroos coach after ten years in the Maroons job.
There had been plenty of speculation 48-year-old Walters would take the job after first-choice candidate Paul Green announced he would only coach the Cowboys side next year.
