QUEENSLAND coach Kevin Walters has included three debutants in his squad for the State of Origin series opener against New South Wales next week.
West Tigers star Moses Mbye, Brisbane’s Joe Ofahengaue and 19-year-old David Fifita line up for Queensland in the highly-anticipated series opener on Wednesday, June 5.
Mbye is expected to fill the utility role for the Maroons while Ofahengaue and Fifita were named on the bench.

Daly Cherry-Evans has been named at halfback despite battling an ankle injury.
Gold Coast Titans star Jai Arrow has also been named in the side despite suffering a minor quad injury before their clash with the Manly Sea Eagles. He is expected to be fit in time for the game.
Overall seven changes have been made to the squad that claimed an 18-12 in the dead-rubber third game last year.
Coen Hess, Gavin Cooper, Jarrod Wallace and Tim Glasby have been axed while the squad is also missing retired great Billy Slater, NFL hopeful Valentine Holmes and injured Brisbane hooker Andrew McCullough.
Walters will formally announce the 2019 captain at tonight’s Maroons Series Launch dinner in Brisbane with Cherry-Evans the favourite to the 15th Queensland Origin captain.
