Speaking on the the Today Show in the US, Khloe said: “He’s OK. Every day is different. The good thing is he’s off of medical machines that will keep him alive. He’s learning how to walk again, and [continuing] cognitive therapy and speech therapy. They think, like, within a year and a half to two years, he might, you know — mentally — be fully recovered, but they don’t know.”
Khloe also opened up about what it was like to receive the call telling her Lamar was in a coma. “It’s a horrible call to get. Getting to the hospital and knowing he’s in a coma and having to run these tests or make medical decisions. It’s terrifying.”
She continued: “You have to make risk-and-reward decisions. Like, OK, well, there’s an 80 percent chance if we do this operation, he might pass away. But also if we don’t do it, there’s a 90 percent chance he’ll pass away…It was probably one of the most emotionally stressful times ever in my life.”
Lamar Odom was discovered unresponsive at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada, on October 13.
