School of Wizardry

Kids can cast a spell at Robina Town Centre these school holidays

Hundreds of kids are in for an education of a different kind these school holidays, with something magical brewing at Robina Town Centre.

In a first for the Gold Coast, local children will be able to attend a School of Wizardry, which will pop up at the shopping centre from Saturday 6th – Thursday 18th April.

With a wand-erful line up of wizardry workshops, mind-bending magic shows and fantastical cupcake decorating classes programmed over the two-week holiday period, young witchcraft and wizardry enthusiasts will be whisked away on an enchanting, interactive and educational adventure.

The space outside Myer will be transformed into a wondrous school-style setting straight out of a fantasy novel complete with bookcases teeming with spell books, a twisting staircase, school crest and shelves lined with potions, beacons and bottles.

And when it comes to stuffy school uniforms – forget it – but DO wear your favourite robes and wizard hat, and bring your wand and broomstick as there will be daily prizes up for the best-dressed wizard!

Week one of the program – running from 6th to 12th April – will see the School of Wizardry’s stage show pop up for seven days of magical performances, running twice daily.

Week two – running from 13th to 18th April – will encourage learning and participation, with four bewitching workshops on offer for kids aged 5-14 .

The workshops include:
• Wand Making: Saturday 13th to Thursday 18th April
• Potion Making: Saturday 13th, Monday 15th and Wednesday 17th April
• Wizard Slime: Saturday 13th, Monday 15th and Wednesday 17th April
• Wizard Magic: Sunday 14th, Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th April
• Wizards in The Kitchens: Thursday 18th April
