Kieran Foran reportedly quits the NRL
UPDATE @ 10.45am: The Parramatta Eels have released a statement regarding rumours surrounding Kieran Foran’s departure from the club.
“The Parramatta Eels have not received a request from Kieran Foran’s management regarding a release from his contract,” the statement reads.
“Kieran’s welfare is the club’s primary concern and the Eels will continue to offer him all the resources available to aid in his recovery.
“The club will be making no further comment on the matter.”
EARLIER @ 9.15am: Kieran Foran has reportedly quit the NRL.
The Parramatta Eels star is believed to have told his coach of his decision to leave the sport on Thursday, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Nine News Sports reporter Danny Weilder also confirmed the news in a twitter post on Friday.
“Very sad to report that Kieran Foran has quit the @NRL. Thoughts are with him,” he wrote.

The 25-year-old has recently been struggling with personal issues and has been undergoing treatment for depression.
