Knife-wielding teen arrested over Gold Coast servo robberies

A teenage boy has been arrested following the armed robbery of two service stations on the Gold Coast overnight.

Police were called to a servo on the corner of Finnigan Way and Foxwell Road in Coomera just before 6.00pm, following reports of a robbery.

It’s alleged a 15-year-old boy stormed the store while armed with a knife.


A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC the teen allegedly threatened the worker behind the counter with the weapon before making demands for cash.

He then fled the scene before allegedly targeting another service station on Brisbane Road in Labrador around 9.00pm.

The teen again allegedly threatened the worker with a knife and managed to get away with a small sum of cash.

The juvenile, from Woodridge, has since been taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing.
