Knox Dining serves up wholesome food in Surfers Paradise
You can now chow down on some wholesome food in Surfers Paradise, thanks to opening of a brand new restaurant in Circle On Cavill.
Brothers Brad and Greg Turvey recently opened Knox Dining in the precinct, offering breakfast and lunch fare that has a strong twist of wholesome and a generous dash of contemporary comfort.
The siblings, who have 30 years of hospitality experience between them – including past ownership of the Blu Grotto Café on Tedder Avenue, believe they have tapped a niche in the Glitter Strip’s evolving dining scene.
“There is nowhere in the heart of Surfers Paradise where you can get good, wholesome food in a café setting,” Brad says. “What we’re offering is not strictly health food but it will appeal to people who are conscious about what they eat. We are catering for the health tribes of vegetarians and vegans while still having a strong focus on comfort food.”
The wholesome focus has shaped the venue’s styling with its clean industrial vibe offset by warm textured furnishings and lush plant features.

It’s in this welcoming space that Knox Dining patrons can order everything from gluten-free protein pancakes, acai or tigernut granola bowls and a breakfast Danish through to intriguing crunchy salads, aburri ocean trout and their hand-crafted slider selection from 7am until 4pm each day.

The menu’s wholesome twist is reflected in the use, where possible, of organic ingredients and the sprinkling of superfoods such as tiger nuts, amaranthas, quinoa, goji berries, kale, matcha, edamame beans throughout the menu.

Knox Dining also incorporates a takeaway window nook, The ‘Lil Ox, serving Toby’s Estate coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, baked goods and salads; handy for those who want – or need – to eat and drink on the run.

Brad says evening dining with a focus on share plates will become a staple at Knox Dining from September after the liquor licence is secured, allowing the venue’s bar to open.
