KODI Nikorima will miss the Brisbane Broncos’ grudge match against South Sydney this Thursday, as speculation surrounding his future at the NRL continues.
Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold confirmed on Tuesday the star is being given a week off due to a calf injury but to also allow him some time to think about his future, as he continues to be linked with a move to the New Zealand Warriors.
Nikorima is contracted at Red Hill until the end of 2020 but could be released mid-season, with a move to the Warriors looking likely as they struggle to find depth following the shock departure of Shaun Johnson and a groin injury to veteran Blake Green.

Seibold admitted to reports his star has a lot to think about during his time on the sidelines.
“He has some decisions to ponder around his future, decisions that are not easy to sift through, and that may affect his family,” Seibold said.
“It will give Kodi the time and space to think through his decision.”
Seibold said Nikorima had also been struggling with a calf injury and that a third game in 11 games may’ve been too much to handle.
