Labor says they’re ready for dual citizenship audit
Federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten maintains his party has “nothing to hide” in the ongoing dual citizenship saga.
The comments come after the Government threatened to refer several Labor MP’s amid questions over their eligibility.
However, Mr Shorten said they’ve done their homework and the dual citizenship saga will be more of a problem for the Government.
“Labor has nothing to hide,” he said.
“We will put forward our information, we’ve done our homework, we’ve got our legal advice and we think there should be one rule for all.
“I do not doubt the extent of the loss of faith, of the Australian people, in the Government.”

Members of Federal Parliment will need to publicly disclose family history and any steps taken to renounce dual citizenships by December 1.
