Lamar Odom a “50/50 chance” of surviving

LAMAR Odom’s life is reportedly on the line after suffering an alleged drug overdose at a Las Vegas brothel.

The former NBA star and ex-husband of reality TV star Khloe Kardashian was found unconscious at the Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Crystal, Nevada, on Tuesday (local time) and rushed to hospital.

According to TMZ, doctors say Lamar has a 50/50 chance of surviving after enduring multiple medical problems, including his kidneys failing, a series of strokes and heart problems.

Several of his friends, family and even his estranged wife, Khloe and the rest of the Kardashian clan, have been seen visiting the hospital since the news of the incident broke yesterday.

There are no KUWTK cameras at the hospital.

More of those who were close to Odom have taken to Twitter to wish him well.

Odom has been the subject of a string of news stories in recent years such as his alleged drug use, marriage troubles and an arrest for drink driving.

His personal life has also been touched by tragedy.

His best friend recently passed away from a suspected heroin overdose, which many say left him distraught.

He was estranged from his heroin-addict father at an early age and was raised by his grandmother after his mother died of colon cancer when he was 12.

In 2006, his six-month-old son Jayden, one of three children with his one-time girlfriend Liza Morales, died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
