Missing Qld teen found in bushland after 3 day search

UPDATE @ 9.45am: A 16-year-old boy missing from Highvale since Monday has been found.

The teen was found in bushland in Brisbane’s northwest around 9.15am.

Despite spending three nights in the bush, he is believed to be in a relatively good condition, 9NEWS reports.

He is expected to be reunited with his family shortly.

EARLIER @ 8.00am: A large scale search operation for a missing 16-year-old boy is expected to continue in Brisbane’s north today.

The teen was last seen walking away from a home on Holcombe Road around 4:50pm on Monday.

Serious concerns are being held for the 16-year-old as he has not made contact with family or friends since.

Police on trail motorbikes and horseback, as well as around 40 SES personnel were involved in a large-scale ground search in the Highvale, Samford, Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo areas yesterday.

They are expected to continue the search today.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, long khaki cargo pants and carrying a camouflage military backpack.

Anyone who may have seen him or knows his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
