Law quickly catches up with alleged Merrimac robber
A MERRIMAC man will face court, accused of holding up a local bottle shop.
It’s alleged the 22-year-old entered the Jura Parade business and demanded money, just before 8pm on Saturday.
Police say he threatened the male attendant and claimed to have a gun.
The worker, who was not injured, handed over a sum of cash, before the man ran off.
Police quickly caught up with the man and charged him with armed robbery, to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
