Lawsuit filed on behalf of selfie snapping monkey

A unique lawsuit has been filed in the US on behalf of a monkey who snapped a few selfies.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) filed the suit in the federal court in San Francisco on Tuesday.

The animal rights activists are arguing on behalf of six-year-old Naruto, claiming he owns the photos rather than the photographer.

British man David Slater published two of Narutos selfies in a book of his photographs.
