Leg bone that washed up near Coffs Harbour belongs to Queensland man
Police have now formally identified the human leg bone that washed up on a beach over the border earlier this week.
It was found by a member of the public at North Beach in Mylestom, south of Coffs Harbour, on Tuesday afternoon.
Following inquiries and forensic examinations, the bone was found to belong to a 38-year-old Bundaberg man.
Andrew Page failed to resurface from a free dive off the coast of Bundaberg back in November.
His leg – with a foot still in a wet suit boot – surfaced 750 kilometres away.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
