Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a car fire on the Pacific Motorway, which is causing chaos for southbound motorists.
The vehicle erupted into flames near Exit 49 in Pimpama around 12.00pm on Tuesday.
Residents in the area are being urged to close their windows and doors with thick black smoke seen billowing over the suburb.

Motorists traveling through the area are also being warned to take extra care.
Traffic is currently at a standstill all the way back to Ormeau, with police urging drivers to seek alternative routes.
It’s not yet known if anyone has been injured.
