Leonardo DiCaprio is lucky to be alive. The Hollywood actor revealed to Wired magazine that he has had three near-death experiences.
“If a cat has nine lives, I think I’ve used a few,” DiCaprio told the magazine.
The 41-year-old admitted he had a close encounter with a shark, was on a flight when the plane’s engine exploded, and was involved in a serious skydiving hiccup.

DiCaprio recalled the time a great white jumped into his cage while diving in South Africa: “Half its body was in the cage, and it was snapping at me. The great white took about five or six snaps an arm’s length away from my head.”
He almost didn’t survive a flight to Russia, after the plane’s engine malfunctioned and was forced to make an emergency landing: “I was sitting there looking out at the wing, and the entire wing exploded in a fireball.”
The Wolf of Wall Street also said he was also lucky to escape a major skydiving accident: “It was a tandem dive. We pulled the first chute. That was knotted up … He pulled the second, and that was knotted up too. He just kept shaking it and shaking it in midair, as all my friends were, you know, what felt like half a mile above me, and I’m plummeting toward earth. [Laughs.] And he finally unravels it in midair.”
Well it seems like Leo has a guardian angel keeping him safe so he can keep entertaining us on the big screen!
