A Gold Coast City Council lifeguard, accused of running over two sunbathing tourists, has had his day in court delayed.
Luke James Bartlett didn’t appear in court yesterday, with the case being adjourned for another month until June 6.
Bartlett had been facing a charge of dangerous driving, after running over two tourists on Surfers Paradise Beach.

However, police say they are now reviewing the severity of the injuries to the pair.
Bartlett’s lawyer says his client did not see the pair, as he was focused on getting to a collapsed swimmer.
