UPDATE 11AM: EMERGENCY crews have cleared a multi-vehicle accident from the northbound lanes of the Pacific Highway in Burleigh.
The crash happened just after 9am, blocking the middle lane and leading to major congestion.
10AM: A HORROR morning on local roads continues with another accident adding to existing congestion.

A number of vehicles have collided on the M1 northbound at Burleigh Heads.
Emergency crews are at the scene and one lane is blocked causing traffic to bank back to the Tugun Bypass.
The good news is, congestion is now easing further north through Coomera following an earlier accident which caused major peak hour headaches.
In a separate incident, a 15-year-old girl has been rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital after being hit by a car on Marine Parade in Southport.
She was struck at about 8.20am and is in a stable condition.
EARLIER: GOLD Coast drivers are dealing with major congestion on local roads as well as the Pacific Highway this morning.
The set-up for the Gold Coast 600 track is causing gridlock on the Gold Coast Highway through Surfers Paradise and Main Beach.
The connection roads are also crawling through the Isle of Capri and Chevron Island.
You will also encounter stop-start conditions on Bundall Road, Bermuda Street, Olsen Avenue and Ross Street.
On the M1, there are busy patches northbound from Tugun to Robina.
Get ready to hit the brakes again around Movie World. There are ongoing delays following an earlier multi-vehicle accident at Coomera.
That has now been cleared, but it continues to crawl all the way to Ormeau.

Translink has confirmed, the congestion could cause delays of up to 40 minutes on some Surfside bus services, including 704, 709, 720, 725 and 727.
