Liverpool police probe suspected arson cases

Liverpool police are investigating three cases of suspected arson.

Two separate fires are believed to have been deliberately lit in Chipping Norton on Sunday night.

About 9.30pm emergency services were called to Barry Road following reports of a factory fire where they found a fire burning inside a Pantech truck that was parked at the back of the building. The truck was being used to store kitchen appliances and other items.

Once that fire was extinguished, they discovered a second fire burning inside a boat that was parked on a trailer outside another property on Barry Road.

The boat had been stripped and was being used to store various items.

In a third incident, a car fire in Warwick Farm is also being investigated.

Shortly after midnight on Monday officers from Liverpool Local Area Command attended Liverpool Mega Centre where they spoke with NSW Fire & Rescue officers who had just extinguished a fire inside a Ford Focus.

Police are attempting to contact the registered owner of the vehicle and an investigation is now underway.

That fire is also being treated as suspicious.

Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command would like to speak with anyone who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
