The State Opposition has promised to build a new multi-purpose hall at Labrador State School if they win this month’s election.
Local MP Sam O’Connor made the announcement alongside LNP leader Deb Frecklington on Monday.
“This brilliant local school turns 100 next year and their hall is in real need of an upgrade,” Mr O’Connor said.

“It basically hasn’t been touched since it was built nearly 40 years ago in the 1980s.
“Parts of it are run down and without fans to keep the kids cool it’s really bad in summer.”
It’s understood part of the multi-million dollar makeover will include upgrading the hall with a new floor, walls and roof, along with sound, lighting and fans.
“This will mean a lot for the school and for Labrador as a whole,” Mr O’Connor said.
“Our suburb has nearly 20,000 people living in it but we don’t have a meeting or sporting space of this size or quality.”
