10-year-old Emmagen Rain from Murwillumbah is on her way to the big time step by step, and this week she popped into 1029 Hot Tomato to further her singing dream.
Emmagen recently won Channel 9 and NightQuarter’s The Voice Karaoke competition, giving her an hour in the Hot Tomato recording studio to lay down a couple of tracks.
The opportunity is just one notch on the belt of Emmagen’s achievements – she’ll be off to Tamworth this July on a full scholarship to attend the Junior Academy of Country Music.

That’s still not all – next year Emmagen will head to Nashville to chase her dreams.
She was the youngest artist selected from her performing arts school, Vocal Adrenaline Performing Arts, to travel to the US to write and record an original song.
She’ll work with Blackbird studio, the same studio to record Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Dolly Parton, Bon Jovi and so many others.
Emmagen’s mum Justine and step dad Adrian will be accompanying her on this journey, but they need a little bit more help to get there.
They’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign to help them get across the Pacific.
Emmagen is excited about her future in the music industry, determined to give it whatever it takes.
“I will never give up on any of my dreams. I hope you won’t either as anything is possible if you put in the work,” she said.
