A local fire ban on the Gold Coast has been extended yet again with some more dangerous conditions expected this week.
It will now be in place until 11.59pm on Friday and will also cover Logan, the Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley and Somerset regions.
More hot weather is on the way for the Gold Coast on Tuesday with the fire danger to increase to very high.

Temps are forecast to hit between 31 and 34 with strong northwesterly winds ahead of a late southerly change.
The mercury will then stay in the mid to high 20s for the rest of the week but more strong winds are expected.
Under the local fire ban, all open fires are prohibited and all permits to light fires have been cancelled.
Power tools may be still be used but QFES is urging people to take extreme care.
