Local resort cleans up at Queensland Hotel Association Awards

A GOLD COAST hotel has taken out an unprecedented four awards at the Queensland Hotel Association Awards for Excellence held last week in Brisbane.

RACV Royal Pines Resort beat out more than 300 Queensland hotels to be named the Best Redeveloped Accommodation – Hotel/Resort, Best Functions/Operations Facility, Best Environmental Practice and Best Restaurant – Accommodation Hotel Division (Videre Restaurant).

General Manager John Morris said it was a fantastic result for the resort.

“It is extraordinary for one resort to win four categories. We pride ourselves on the quality of our product and service and it is particularly pleasing that we have won awards across multiple award categories,” he said,

“It was particularly pleasing to see the hard work of our staff involved in introducing our proactive environmental programs recognised at the awards,” Mr Morris said.

The four Queensland Hotel Association awards follow RACV Royal Pines Resort’s win at the Gold Coast Business Excellence awards in September where the resort won the Tourism Hospitality and Events Award for Conference and Events.

The Resort also recently won three awards at the Queensland Restaurant and Catering Awards including Best Japanese Restaurant (Arakawa), Best Restaurant in a Resort and Best Restaurant (Videre).
