Local singer Jacob Lee is tackling bullying through song

Gold Coaster Jacob Lee first grabbed our attention as a contestant on The Voice in 2014.

The local surfer, who made it to the top 6 on Will.I.Am’s team on the reality singing show, has been working hard in the studio and will soon be releasing an EP.

“The EP is almost complete, with a whole range of songs from love to break up, to finding purpose in life,” he told myGC.

Apart from singing, the 20-year-old is also passionate about beating the bullying epidemic in schools and has even written a song about it on his EP called Ghost.

“I speak to students in schools about bullying & try to make a difference to those who feel downtrodden & misunderstood,” he said. “I am also in the process of creating a ‘Ghost Campaign’ to raise awareness of bullying.”

Jacob Lee’s debut sing Chariot is out now. For more information and to hear the song, visit https://www.facebook.com/jacoblee
