Gold Coast park goers will get to enjoy both sunshine and good food, with a food truck trial beginning in some of the City’s parks from tomorrow.
Chair of Community Services, Councillor Bob La Castra, said food trucks were a marriage of two of our favourite pastimes.
“This is about enjoying tasty food and our great outdoors. It’s going to provide park goers with a whole new experience,” he said.

A total of 14 food trucks have been approved so far, with four licenses issued to start this weekend.
There are 10 popular parks involved in the trial, which allows food trucks to operate on weekends and public holidays.
They include Pratten Park and Cascade Gardens in Broadbeach, Schusters Park Tallebudgera, Hinterland Regional Park Mudgeeraba, Pizzey Park Miami, Jabiru Island Park Paradise Point, Philip Park Main Beach, Macintosh Island Park Main Beach, Len Fox Park Labrador and Damian Leeding Park Oxenford.
The trial starts on Saturday 25 June and runs until the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018.
