Locals invited to name the new Gold Coast Hospital Foundation mascot

Alright Gold Coasters, it’s time to put your creative thinking caps on because the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation needs our help!

They’re calling on locals to help name its bright new mascot – a friendly female medical professional with red hair.

Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Chief Executive Officer Kim Sutton said the mascot would be the face of the organisation in the community and help spread the word about the vital support it provided to patients and their families.

“She is already bringing comfort and smiles to sick and injured children and adults at Gold Coast public hospitals,” Ms Sutton said.

“The mascot will engage with locals of all ages in our community to help spread the message about the
Foundation’s work.”

“Now we’re asking the community for help to name her. We’re looking for a name that represents the community-minded and caring culture of our charitable organisation.”

With a fantastic prize on offer for the winner, entrants are encouraged to ‘like’ the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Facebook page, tag two friends in the competition post, and follow the link to enter their best name idea.

A Gold Coast Hospital Foundation judging panel will shortlist the best entries and announce the winner in early December. Entries to the competition close on 30 November 2017 at 5pm AEST.

The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation raises funds to help medical professionals make a difference in the lives of thousands of sick and injured children and adults each year, delivering a range of vital programs, medical equipment and research funding.
