LOCATED: Children found wandering on Gold Coast street reunited with parents

Update at 10.20pm: The two children located earlier tonight have been identified and reunited with their parents. The Queensland Police thank the public for their assistance.

Earlier at 9.10pm:  POLICE are seeking urgent help from the public to identify two young children who were found wandering the streets alone on the Gold Coast on Friday night.

The boy, who is thought to be around only two-years-old, and the girl, about five, were found by a member of the public walking along Bundall Road near Elliot Street at Bundall at around 6.30pm.

Police have so far been unable to locate the children’s parents or carers and so issued an urgent public appeal to help identify them shortly after 8.30pm.

The little boy is Caucasian in appearance and is described by police as being around 80-90cm tall and having short light brown hair. He is wearing a blue, green and red striped singlet.

The girl, also Caucasian, is wearing Spiderman pyjamas and has long light blonde hair.

Anyone who believes they may be able to help police identify the children or may know where their parents or carers are is urged to contact Policelink immediately on 131 444.
