Logan boy charged over luxury car thefts in Surfers Paradise

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged over the alleged theft of three luxury cars from a Surfers Paradise home.

A Ferrari, a Mercedes and a Porsche were all stolen from a property along Admiralty Drive around 3.00 am.

Police were reportedly looking into whether it may have been an inside job, as the keys were taken from a secret location at the residence.

The Ferrari was found at the Logan Hyperdome undamaged yesterday, while the Porsche was found at Spruce Street in Loganlea a short time later.

A 17-year-old boy from Kingston has been arrested overnight and is set to front the Southport Children’s court today.

He’s facing one charge of burglary, one count of unlicensed driving and three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

There are reports police are still trying to track down at least three more people.

A spokesperson only confirmed that investigations are still ongoing.
