Logan bus driver suffers facial burns after having acid thrown in face

Investigations are underway after a bus driver had acid thrown in his face in Logan this morning.

Emergency services were called to Drews Road in Loganholm around 9.30am, following reports an unknown substance was thrown at a bus driver.

The driver was treated briefly by paramedics at the scene, before being taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.


He suffered burns to his face and eyes.

Police are now investigating, with early inquiries indicating that the substance may have been thrown through the driver-side window of the bus.

There were no passengers on board at the time of the incident.

Investigators are now calling on members of the public with dashcam vision or CCTV footage around Drews Road and Jalan Street between 9.00am and 10.00am to come forward.
