Logan man charged over shooting in Brisbane

A LOGAN man has been charged with multiple offences after a shooting in Brisbane which left a man with serious injuries.

Paramedics were called to a private address in on Cambridge Dr about 5.10pm on Thursday where a 24-year-old man had been shot in the stomach.

The man was taken by paramedics, including Critical Care and High Acuity Response carers to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.


An off-duty police officer managed to catch up with two men

Two men were initially taken in to custody by an off-duty police officer in Wellington Point. One of the men was detained and the officer allegedly located a firearm.

The second man ran off but was tracked by dog squad to a nearby property, where he was found hiding.

Queensland Police have since confirmed a 27-year-old man has since been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, dangerous conduct with a weapon, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts each of deprivation of liberty and trespass.

He is expected to front the Cleveland Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
