Logan man charged with murder over alleged stabbing death

A man has been arrested and charged over the suspicious death of another man in Brisbane’s south over the weekend

It comes after a 42-year-old man mysteriously arrived at the QEII Hospital in Coopers Plains on Saturday night, with multiple stab wounds.

He was unable to be saved, and passed away just after midnight.

Investigations were then launched, and a crime scene was declared at an address in Lani Street, Wishart.

A number of items of interest were seized, including two vehicles.

A 29-year-old man from Loganlea was arrested early this morning, and charged with one court of murder.

Detective Inspector Mark Thompson said the two men were known to each other.

“All parties in this incident were known to each other, they were associates,” Detective Inspector Mark Thompson told reporters on Monday.

“The motive or why this happened I can’t go into.

“We will be alleging the defendant wilfully caused the death of this man by his actions and we will be alleging he did that by himself,” Detective Thompson said.

The accused will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
