Logan man charged after woman finds him lurking inside her house

A LOGAN man has been charged after a woman returned home to find him lurking inside her house at Coorparoo yesterday afternoon.

Police said the terrifying encounter happened at a house on Rome Street around 3.10pm.

“It will be alleged a woman returned to her residence and located a man inside the house. He pushed past the woman, who then yelled to a male relative for help,” Qld police said in a statement.

The man then attempted to hit the woman with a glass bottle before running out the house.

Police said he began to ride away on a bicycle however was stopped by the male relative who was able to hold him until police arrived.

A 45-year-old Logan man has been charged with one count each of robbery with personal violence, enter dwelling, serious assault of a person over 60, burglary, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of implements for house breaking.

He is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
