Logan man to front court on child exploitation charges
A Logan man will front court today, charged with child exploitation offences.
The 53-year-old from Munruben was arrested in July for allegedly sharing and distributing child exploitation material.
Detectives from the Brisbane Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team identified an internet address allegedly using a Peer to Peer network to share the material, before then linking the address to the man.
Detectives and Australian Federal Police executed a search warrant in the lead up to the man’s arrest, finding two external hard drives allegedly containing the child exploitation material.
He was then charged with one count of using a carriage service to make available child pornography and one count of possessing child exploitation material.
He’s expected to front Brisbane Magistrates court today.
