Polair was called in to help track the car, with the vehicle spotted in the driveway of a home in Loganlea.

“Officers attempted to intercept the vehicle, however it will be alleged the driver rammed a police vehicle before accelerating away,” police said in a statement.

“Poliar continued to monitor the vehicle as it continued to travel through the Eagleby area before stopping at a nearby address where the driver is alleged to have fled on foot and was arrested without incident.”

A 19-year-old man from Marsden was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, serious assault police, evasion, driving without a license and fail to appear.

He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court this morning.

An 18-year-old Crestmead woman has also been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court in January.
