Nestlé has been under pressure to rename the popular lollies because of their derogatory and racist overtones.
The company says those overtones are out of step with its values.
“This decision acknowledges the need to ensure that nothing we do marginalises our friends, neighbours and colleagues,” Nestlé said in a statement.
The term redskin is particularly offensive to Native Americans.
The company had previously changed the wrapper of the lolly to remove a picture of an indigenous American.
