A clever canine has lead a search team to the location of his missing owner, proving that he really is a man’s best friend.
The 83-year-old man went missing with his dog ‘Kiaria’, in heavy bushland in Hawkesbury over the weekend.
‘Kiaria’ was located at approximately 9:30am, with the clever canine leading the search team to its owner a short time later.

Despite suffering from severe dehydration and minor injuries the man was found in a stable condition and was airlifted to Westmead Hospital.
NSW Police wrote on their Facebook page that ‘Kiaria’ was rewarded by “being carried back home, receiving much love and respect, followed by well-earned food and water.”
