Lucky Gold Coaster oblivious to massive Lotto win

ONE lucky Gold Coaster is walking around a whole lot richer — but they don’t even know it!

The Lott has confirmed a ticket purchased on the Gold Coast was one of four $2.5 million division one winning entries in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw.

However, the ticket was unregistered so officials weren’t able to contact the winner to break the life-changing news.

The ticket was purchased at Palm Beach Newsagency and owner John Scanes said he was hoping to hear from their latest winner soon.

“We are so excited for our lucky customer, and we’re really hoping this prize has gone to one of our locals,” he said.

“We’ve sold six division one winning entries over the years. Here’s hoping our winning streak will continue with many more big prizes in the future!

“We hope our winner checks their ticket soon and realises they are a multi-millionaire!”

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was eager to unite the Gold Coast’s latest division one winner with their prize.

“It’s likely this winner has been going about their weekend as normal with no idea they’ve just won $2.5 million!” she said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Gold Lotto ticket from Palm Beach Newsagency to check their tickets today.

“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise on a Monday morning you’ve just won $2.5 million!”
