M1 at a standstill after four car pile up

A multi-vehicle crash is causing lengthy delays for motorists heading southbound on the Pacific Motorway this morning.

A Gold Coast taxi and three other vehicles collided in the right hand lane at Arundel, just before Exit 66 around 8.00am.

Emergency crews are on scene, however it’s not yet known how many people, if any, have been injured.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads says two lanes have been blocked.

Traffic is significantly banked up in the area, with drivers being urged to seek alternative routes or allow extra travel time.
